Ingredients
For the burgers:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred for juiciness)
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices American cheese
4 burger buns (toasted)
Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for garnish (optional)
For the glaze:
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
Prepare the burger patties:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, teriyaki sauce, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined (don’t overwork the meat).
Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to ensure even cooking.
Cook the burgers:
Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.
Make the glaze:
While the burgers are cooking, in a small saucepan, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Heat over medium heat until the mixture thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
Assemble the burgers:
Place the cooked patties on the toasted buns. Drizzle each patty with the teriyaki glaze for extra flavor.
Add your favorite burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, if desired.
Serve:
Serve these Teriyaki Parmesan Burgers with American Cheese hot and fresh. Pair them with fries, chips, or a side salad for a complete meal.
