Ingredients
1 lb ground sausage
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 bag (30 oz) frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the softened cream cheese until fully melted and combined with the sausage. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with the sausage and cream cheese mixture.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
