Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in pecans.
- Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.

- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra crunch, toast pecans before adding.
- Check doneness with a toothpick – it should come out with moist crumbs.
