Ingredients
For the Brownies:
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup rolled oats
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
¼ cup dark chocolate chips (sugar-free or 70%+ cocoa)
For the Chocolate Glaze:
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons almond milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add oats, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon, vanilla extract, almond milk, and peanut butter. Stir until combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts and dark chocolate chips for added texture.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the brownies are cooling, prepare the glaze:
- In a small bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, honey, and almond milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled brownies.
- Slice into squares and enjoy a healthy, guilt-free treat!
